DIY Vanilla Coffee Bean Scrub

Homemade body scrubs are some of the easiest DIYs around. All you’ll need is something exfoliating, sugar, coffee, walnut shells (if you’re fancy), and some oil to moisturize. You can add in a few essential oils to make it (and you) smell good and you’re done. For this scrub you’ll need coffee as an exfoliant, olive oil for moisture (or coconut, or argan, or almond basically any skin-friendly oil) and essential oils. I used vanilla and cedarwood, but orange and coffee smell amazing together too! Coffee is great to stimulate circulation and to reduce the appearance of cellulite. It can even help reduce redness and inflammation when used topically.

“Though it seems counterintuitive given its stimulant nature, coffee can actually also calm inflamed and red skin thanks to the same antioxidants that protect it from premature aging. It's also a vasoconstrictor, which means it reduces redness.” - BYRDIE

Coffee is an increasingly popular ingredient for face and body exfoliators. The bean particles are a gentle but effective way to buff away dead skin cells and impurities, which can leave skin feeling smoother and looking more refined. - The Body Shop
